This site uses a software called MediaWiki.
A Wiki is a special type of web site that enables a group of users (in this case, anyone on the Internet) to collectively create, edit, add and revise content. So to do that, you should be familiar with wiki commands. These are similar to those in HTML, for example, but are much more easier and user-friendly. So you don't have to know anything about web programming to create a wiki page. A table of all the commands you'd need, and how to use them, is provided below.
Please note that, to do any editing, you have to register first and log in with you user name and password.
The easiest way to create a new page for your draft report, article or whatever, is to add a topic in one of the sections on Mainpage or wherever. This is done by editing the relevant section, i.e. clicking the edit botton to the right of the header and that will take you to the edit interface. There, you will have to add a new entry/line to the list (perferably a clear, meaningful title).
Now all you have to do to create your new page is to edit your title, or part of it, as a link. This is done by simply putting it in double brackets [[ ]]. Wiki words (a mix of lower and upper case letters) are automatically interpreted as links.
The page does not exist yet, so the link (title) will appear in a colour different to normal links (where the page actually exists) . Once you click on it, it'll lead you to a blank edit page, where you can write or insert whatever you want.

A single newline generally has no effect on the layout. These can be used to separate sentences within a paragraph. Some editors find that this aids editing and improves the function diff (used internally to compare different versions of a page). But an empty line starts a new paragraph.
