Days after releasing photographs of “most wanted” suspects, Toronto Police have arrested seven more G20 protesters.
Police arrested five of the men on Monday and two on Sunday. All but one of their photos were released in the past two weeks as police asked the public for help identifying suspects.
“Some people are passing along information that they know the people or giving us information that’s leading us to conduct further inquiries to confirm this info on our own,” said Detective Bill McGarry of the G20 investigative team.
The men – all are in their teens or 20s – face mischief charges in relation to alleged activity on June 26, when police cruisers were burnt and storefronts were damaged. Some were also charged with arson, attempted theft and failing to comply with probation.
