Several websites were setup from groups involved in the dissent!Network between 2003 and 2007. The first network of groups existed in the UK ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissent!_network ) as part of the mobilisation against the G8 summit in Scotland in 2005. Most of those web projects around summits and protest camps were discontinued later and the originally domains shut down.
As big websites projects (the dissentnetwork.org website had 1,500,000+ hits per day before and during the G8 2007) require intensive maintainance, the sites got converted into static HTML pages later. Most links got adjusted and should work, however, edit and search functions do not work anymore. The dissent-archive webteam will continue to work on the websites to correct links.
