Bowl Court Social Centre in London UK will be holding 3 evenings of screenings/discussions about the actions against the G8
Monday-Wednesday 7, 8, 9 July, vegan food and coffee/tea from 7pm onward, screening and discussion starting at 8pm
As most are aware the 7th-9th July sees the G8 meeting for another round of bollocks by Lake Toya in Hokkaido, Japan. To coincide with this Bowl Court Social Centre brings you film and info nights. Bowl Court will be screening any footage we can get our hands on in the evenings that the summit is taking place. There will be vegan food provided free/by donation. This is an opportunity to find out what is happening in Japan and also to discuss ideas of actions in London.

Discussion by US activist Lisa Fithian on repression and politics of Japanese border control, as well as her experience in Japan before being told to leave by July 4 (after being detained for 11 hours) Lisa has been a community and labour organiser for 33 years, and is a steering committee member of United for Peace, has worked with the Common Ground collective in post-Katrina New Orleans, and the Justice for Janitors campaign, among many other organisations and campaigns. She is a member of the RANT collective.
