Information for making visa applications for Germany

Some information on how we could invite people to germany which need visas:

The best would be, when the sponsors are organisations, Astas or some social unions, because then they always have a proper reason to invite people for informational lectures at specific times and dates..etc.

If your are a person who could invite people personally you have to keep in mind:

Conditions to invite are:

You should have a steady income for at least the last three months and it shouldnt be less the 750 euros. For self-employed sponsors, it is also possible, but it would mean more paperwork, because you have to prove that you own the money, and you have to present invoices (with the exception of doctors and lawyers).

What to do:

You should phone the office (in Berlin it would be: the Landesbehörde für Bürger und Ordnungsangelgenheiten in the: Friedrichstr.219) to receive a date to meet them...they will explain you what you have to bring for papers:

0. Passport

1. That are the filled in declaration of sponsorship form. This contains all dates pertaining to you and the person you want to invite (see declaration of sponsorship: http://www.berlin.de/labo/verpflichtung/dienstleistungen/ [1]) You need to pay them 25 euros.

2. You should bring them proof of income for the last three month and to the form stamped.

3. Later you have to signe an insurance policy, which includes health and deport of the person you invite (See: http://www.provisit.de/ [2]),

Once the sponsorship form is stamped, you will have to send it together with your personal invitation to the person you want to invite. You have to send the original so make sure that you have got copies.

Reasons for invitation could be:

Their shouldnt be political, its better in a more private way, like there will be a wedding or this person can just come in this period, because in the other time this person dont get holidays and so embassy dont think could be a economic refugee (unfortunatly sometimes they think that), could also be a official working meeting buisness trip, etc or you can also say that the child of the person can just be accomadated in this time in the country, so that the person can just come in this time etc.

Then the person which wants to get invited goes to the german embassy with the invitation and declaration of sponsorship and (papers, passsport etc) and then you have to wait for the answer of the embassy...

Please contact if they are any questions, answers, more information on this subjects: visaquestions@riseup.net [3]
